ALSD International Conference at Croke Park

The YTL Arena team recently joined more than 270 attendees at an international conference for the entertainment and hospitality industry at Dublin’s Croke Park.

ALSD (Association of Luxury Suite Directors) International Conference is Europe’s only event dedicated to the premium seat and hospitality sector.

Talks from more than 50 of leading experts from across Europe and North America covered everything from architecture and design to VIP access, premium sales, client retention, sponsorship, innovative technology, products, solutions, and fit-outs.

The conference included tours of the 82,300-seat Croke Park, home of the Gaelic Athletic Association and the 50,000-seat joint home of the Football Association of Ireland and Irish Rugby Football Union, Aviva Stadium.

There was also the opportunity to visit the 9,000-seat 3Arena. Originally a large cast-iron warehouse built in 1878 by the Great Southern and Western Railway Company as a riverside goods depot, the warehouse is on Dublin’s historic quayside. It was repurposed into the Point Theatre in 1998 and then transformed into an arena in 2008.

YTL Arena Bristol plans to retro-fit the iconic Brabazon Hangars, home of the Brabazon aircraft and supersonic Concorde, into a 17,000-capacity arena and live entertainment complex for Bristol.

Partnerships Director at YTL Arena Complex, Sarah McBride, said: “3Arena is a brilliant example of how you can breathe new life into a historic building, transforming it into something for a whole new generation to enjoy. Our vision is to put Bristol on the world stage by repurposing the iconic Brabazon Hangars and creating a live entertainment destination which everyone can be proud of.”
